Neosoma GmbH and Inselspital Announce Collaboration

Inselspital (“Insel”) and Neosoma GmbH are excited to announce the formalization and expansion of their collaboration to help advance the field of oncology through AI-driven imaging analysis.

Starting with brain tumors, the Insel Department of Radiation Oncology, led by Prof. Dr. med. Daniel M. Aebersold, is deploying Neosoma’s glioma, brain metastases, and brain organs at risk (“OAR”) AI-based auto-contouring, measurement, and longitudinal lesion tracking software, to support Insel’s clinical research efforts.

The collaboration has already borne fruit through Insel-led research to study Neosoma’s high-grade glioma auto-contouring capabilities, and how radiation treatment planning workflows can benefit. These results are detailed in an upcoming publication authored by the Insel team of the Center of AI in Radiation Oncology CAIRO.

In expanding the collaboration to include brain metastases and OAR, the Insel team will be able to study additional areas of clinical benefit, impacting materially more patients.
